YOUR WEDDING DAY

HEY, I’M MEG!
I’m an adventurous homebody who loves spending time outside exploring with my husband + our poodle. I’ve been photographing love stories since 2017 and have become obsessed with capturing Lake Tahoe small wedding days that are full of adventure, love, and as little stress as possible for my fellow outdoor enthusiasts, introverts, and fun-loving couples.
I’ve been connected to Utah for over a decade now and I always try to find as many excuses as I can to come explore. My husband and I usually spend a few weeks/months during off-season rock climbing along epic desert rock formations and going for incredible sunset hikes with the absolute best dessert views. Utah is truly a one-of-a-kind destination that I can’t get enough of.
The Best of SOUTHER UTAH:
Tips & Recommendations
Experiences:
Rock Climbing/Canyoneering - With all the incredible rock formations and canyons, there are countless places to go canyoneering and rock climbing. Imagine rappelling amongst tall canyon walls and climbing up formations to get the absolute best views. If you’re uncertain, there’s lots of great guide companies to help keep you safe and lead you to the best spots!
Four Wheeling / Off Roading- Utah is a big place with lots of land to cover so four wheeling is a fun option to explore amazing places you can’t get to just off the main road.
Catch the Best Sunsets - Southern Utah is primarily a desert region which is the perfect area for catching the most incredibly colorful sunsets! Take some of your favorite snacks to a lookout point and watch the sun cascade over a beautiful landscape.
Glamp in Zion National Park - While there’s a variety of camping sites in Utah, there’s also quite a few glamping locations to splurge on. This is a fun way to make your Utah elopement extra special.
Kayak the Green River - If you’re venturing to Utah during the summer, the Green River is a great reprieve from the heat. Rent a kayak and enjoy the relaxing river or go tubing in Canyonlands NP.
Destinations:
Zion National Park is an incredible park with some of the most breath-taking hiking trails. Keep in mind, this is one of the most popular parks in Utah. While there’s a ton of epic places to exchange vows, you’ll have to deal with quite a few park visitors and limited options for ceremony sites. Springdale - the town outside Zion - offers some awesome luxury rentals & venues for small weddings near Zion. Perfect to be accompanied with a day-after adventure in the park!
Bryce Canyon Park offers beautiful red rock trails intermixed among the famous Utah hoodoos. This area has some of the best nighttime sky views and incredible trails if you’re willing to hike a little bit longer. Check it out in the winter for amazing views of the snow among the red rock.
Arches National Park takes red rock formations to the next level. It’s named Arches because there are countless red rock arches throughout the park. You can walk under them and embrace how magnificent these natural gems are. This may be the busiest of all the Utah parks so plan mid-week and early if you want to head in here!
If you’re down to get a little dirty, the Coral Pink Sand Dunes are an amazing place to explore in Utah. The golden rolling Dunes are breathtaking at sunset and a lot of fun if you want to spend time cardboard sledding and running along the dunes. There’s amazing canyons and hikes nearby to pair your adventure with as well
This is one of my absolute favorite places to explore in Utah. Just outside of the town of Saint George, the trails here are easy to access and explore. From petrified dunes, to small slot canyons, and lots of scrambling on rocks, this park has a lot to offer without traveling too far out into the unknown.
Canyonlands (Island in the Sky) NP or Dead Horse Point State Park
If you want an epic view, you have to check out Dead Horse Point or nearby Canyonlands, There are expansive canyon views that will leave you speechless. This area is also located near Moab, but not nearly as busy as Arches. You get incredible views from on top of the mesa of nearby rock formations.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I always want to be transparent and aim to answer all your questions before you even book. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions I get asked:
-
First, fill out my contact form so I can learn all about you two and your wedding day. If you think we’d be a great fit, we can either set up a call to answer any lingering questions/brainstorm ideas OR jump in right away. As soon as you have a date & general idea for the location, I just need a signed contract and retainer to save your date and I’ll officially be yours to capture this awesome adventure.

I am currently based in Walnut Creek, CA, and while I work often in Northern California, I am in love with the whole west coast. I am always open to traveling for weddings + elopements, and try to keep pricing simple and easy in one package price including all travel. For information on my travel pricing or travel plans, reach out!

Besides the fact that I am very goofy and loving… As a photographer, I go beyond just showing up and taking photos on your wedding day. Not only do I want to create a space that feels comfortable and inviting since taking photos can be outside of most people’s comfort zones, but I’m here to help. From make suggestions, offering advice, answering questions, providing recommendations where I can, and doing what I can to make everything easier on you! While I’m not a full-service wedding planner, I’ve been doing this long enough that I want to share what I’ve learned and keep this process exciting and fun!
-
This varies from event to event, but for me, it’s often the intention of the day. The majority of small weddings/elopements I photograph have groups from around 0-60 guests and often focus on what’s important to the couple while skipping traditions that don’t fit.
-
While I’m not a full-service planner, I love getting to work with couples before the wedding day and help make the process easier when I can. Most often I help couples with finding locations, putting together timelines and shot lists, bouncing around ideas for itineraries, and answering any questions I can along the way. I also have a pretty in-depth welcome guide that should help out as a reference as you plan!
