Angela & Jeff - Yosemite Elopement

Angela & Jeff - June 26 & 27, 2018

For Angela & Jeff's wedding day, they decided to have an adventure and make new memories as they explored Yosemite National Park with some relatives for the first time. We had an early morning - waking up at 2/3am to watch the sunrise and take portraits at Taft Point. This also meant that we were one of very few groups already up and exploring the park. We watched the sun gradually rise over the valley as these two took in the views and braved the heights. Then we headed down into the valley to explore. Angela wore hiking boots under her dress and Jeff's hiking backpack held her flower crown and bouquet.

Being chosen to photograph someone's elopement is one of the coolest opportunities I've had as a photographer. With elopements being such intimate days for a couple, I never ignore how lucky I am to spend this day with a couple and help capture their memories. On my own time, I love hiking and exploring national parks and any nature areas I can, so being able to combine my love for the outdoors with my love for photography is so freaking cool. Plus, I don't think it ever gets old showing someone around Yosemite for the first time. Trust me, it's even better in real life.
